Download post processor for camworks and get the best CNC code for your machine

Our technical experts can develop custom CAMWorks and SOLIDWORKS CAM post processors tailored to your company's specific needs. We draw from our extensive collection of customer-validated post processors as an initial starting point and customize the post processor based on your particular requirements. After development, this post processor will streamline your CNC workflow for years to come.

Because the post processor is a translator, its g-code output is flexible. It is crucial the g-code matches your CNC machine parameters and takes advantage of the machine's full capabilities. We can also account for the preferences of CNC operators. Ultimately an excellent post processor means less hand-editing, more efficient programs, and faster setup and cycle times.

Both CAMWorks and SOLIDWORKS CAM install with a variety of basic post processors. Users can also create their post processors with the Universal Post Generator. However, most users find the best option is to rely on GoEngineer's expertise and experience to make a post processor specific to their needs and CNC equipment.

With a custom post processor, you have control over the g-code output without the burden of learning to create post processors yourself. GoEngineer's experts can customize safety lines, tool changes, canned cycles, and m-codes within your post processor. We can even expand the capabilities of CAMWorks or SOLIDWORKS CAM with the post!

Our goal is to build a post processor that requires zero hand-editing and is tailored to your exact operator and machine requirements. We also commit to maintaining and supporting that post processor if your requirements change.

NOTE: The appropriate post processor for the machine or controller being used needs to be found before it can be installed. Autodesk provides a library of generic post processors in the Autodesk Post Library. If the desired machine or controller cannot be found in the Autodesk Post Library, please contact the customization resources in the HSM Post Processor Forum or the CAM Partners in the Autodesk Partner Finder.

Has anyone used the new SOLIDWORKS CAM (it comes with the 2018/2019 SOLIDWORKS FRC version and is made by CAMWorks) with Mach 3? There is a Mach 3 postprocessor built in, but it has a ton of issues. We tried using UPG (the program to edit posts) but it has an error when we try to open the Mach 3 source files. It seems to open the other source files fine, but not the ones for Mach 3.

The final accuracy of your cut and optimal use of your CNC machine depends on your post processor software. Without it, or with poor software, you can end up with longer cycle times, damaged parts, ruined equipment, and injuries to employees. That all translates to wasted time and money at your business too. That can also mean lower part quality. And that can lead to angry customers who take their business elsewhere. 2ff7e9595c
